Please don't.
Dishwashers can damage nonstick bakeware, so to be safe we recommend hand washing. If you’ve used a nonstick cooking spray, clean-up shouldn’t require more than a sponge and a rinse.
(Tip for Edge pans: We recommend using a soap-dispensing dishwashing wand with a soft sponge at the end of the handle. Most sponge heads fit perfectly between the pan’s interior sidewalls.)
For occasional dried-on food, soak the pan in hot water for a FEW MINUTES and then scrub with a damp sponge or cloth. Never use abrasives, bleach, steel wool, scouring pads, or harsh chemical fluids, as they can damage the pan and its nonstick surface.
Do not soak your pan for a long time!
The great news is, even if your nonstick coating is worn off, your pan is still safe-safe-safe to use!
ALWAYS use nonstick-safe utensils made of vinyl, silicon, or wood. Turners and spatulas with a blade width of 2” or less will fit the pan the best. Never use metal or other sharp utensils, and it’s always a good idea to be gentle. Scraping the pan or applying heavy pressure could scuff or scratch the pan’s nonstick coating.
Good news, though! Even if your pan's non-stick coating comes off the pan is still safe-safe-safe to use.
If you’re using a box mix or a recipe intended for a 10” x 10” or 9” x 13” pan, the Edge Brownie Pan will work beautifully. Adjustments to recipe quantities aren’t usually necessary. The Simple Lasagna Pan is a better fit for deep-dish lasagna and larger casseroles, so if you’d like to try one of your own recipes in it, you may need to increase your recipe’s quantities to get the best results.
Yes! Get ready to indulge in perfectly baked gluten-free brownies with our innovative brownie pan, designed to cook the middle part to perfection every time!
Gluten-free flour typically has less protein, which can result in a more crumbly and delicate texture that can be difficult to cook evenly. Additionally, gluten-free brownie batters may be more dense or contain more moisture, which can make it challenging for the heat to penetrate and cook the middle thoroughly with regular pans. Our specialized Edge Brownie pan evenly distributes heat and promotes consistent baking for achieving perfectly cooked gluten-free brownies every time.
Foods that typically require 20-30 minutes in a conventional pan will probably require the same amount of time in our pans. However, foods with a typical baking time of 40 minutes or more may bake slightly faster. For these dishes, begin to check for doneness after 35 minutes (and make a note of any changes).
It’s okay to keep brownies in the pan for a few days, but it’s best to remove any other leftover food and store it in glass or plastic containers. Prolonged exposure to moisture (or hot or cold temperatures) can damage metal bakeware, metal cookware, metal utensils, and just about anything else made of metal.
